BACCO.

People from endemic countries are 64 times more likely to contract HIV in Canada.  In Ontario, Black, African and Caribbean people account for 21% of new HIV diagnoses.

What we Offer

The BACCO Program offers a variety of services and volunteer opportunities for those who identify with the Black, African and Caribbean community.

These services include:
Prevention & Education Workshops, Anti-stigma, discrimination, racism and homophobia workshops, Awareness campaigns, Community Advocacy, Settlement Service Referrals, HIV/AIDS Resources & Distribution and Community Outreach.

Our Network

BACCO works closely with settlement services such as the Welcome Centre Immigrant Services in Ajax and Pickering.  The program is a local representative for projects led by the Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI).

Our local work is guided by the African Caribbean Council on HIV/AIDS in Ontario (ACCHO), a populations specific HIV strategy funded by the AIDS Bureau.
