About us
The AIDS Committee of Durham Region is a community-based, non-profit, charitable organization. We work in partnership with many individuals and organizations that support, in principle or in practice, our mission and goals.

Knit, crochet or sew a RED scarf that is 6" wide x 60" long and donate it to the AIDS Committee of Durham Region.

All of the donated scarves will be tied to trees and posts all over the City of Oshawa and Whitby on
World AIDS Day - December 1st, to create awareness about HIV/AIDS and to catch people's attention, starting a much needed conversation about HIV/AIDS in the Durham Region!

Not only are we creating awareness about HIV/AIDS in Durham Region, but we are also helping to keep everyone warm this winter! Each scarf will have a tag attached to it that says you may take the scarf if you are cold. Any scarves that are left after World AIDS Day will be collected in and donated to local shelters.

Scarves are to be dropped off at the reception of the AIDS Committee Durham Region (22 King Street West, Suite 202, Oshawa) by Noon on Wednesday, November 25th.
